Pool Rules & Hours

Our goal is to provide a safe, family-oriented environment at all times at the Conservatory Pool.  Your cooperation with the following rules is expected and appreciated.

Pool

Pool Hours 

  • The pool opens on the Saturday before Memorial Day and operates daily. 

  • The pool is open daily for general use from 10 AM to 8 PM.  NOTE: 4th of July hours will be from 10 am – 6 pm

  • In August after school begins, lifeguards will only be available from 4 - 8 PM on weekdays, but the pool is still open from 10 AM - 4 PM  for swimming at your own risk.

  • Swimming Lessons are held from 9 AM to 9:45 AM.  Read More About Lessons

 

Pool Access

  • POOL ACCESS is by key card or registered cell phone. Contact conservatory@westwindmanagement.com to add or change access.

  • ​The HOA has made upgrades and purchased software that will allow owners to access the pool via a cell phone rather than having to use the key card. Keys cards will continue to be used as well.   This system will also be used when the clubhouse is available for rentals.

  • Tenants must work through the owner of the property and have them complete the Delegation of Rights Enjoyment form, available from Westwind Management. Delegation Of Rights Form

 

General Rules 

  • Key cards/Cell App are required for admission to the pool.  Cards/Cell App must be used for entry or shown upon request at any time by a staff member.  If you do not have a key card/Cell App, stop in at the Community Center during business hours from 1 PM to 5 PM every Thursday afternoon or contact conservatory@westwindmanagement.com.  

  • Do not prop open the pool gate, nor open it for anyone not in your group.

  • Persons under the age of twelve (12) years old using the pool must be accompanied by a resident at least twenty-one years of age at all times unless such a minor person(s) has/have previously passed a swimming proficiency test administered by the Pool Management Company lifeguards.

  • Proper swim attire is required.  Swimsuits only.   Swimmers who are not toilet-trained must wear swim diapers.  Plastic diapers are prohibited.

  • No person having an infectious, contagious or communicable disease or open wound is permitted in the pools.

 

Safety Rules 

  • Glass containers are not allowed within the pool fence.  No gum is permitted in the pool area.

  • No running, shoving, roughhousing, rowdiness, or dunking.  No jumping into the pool, including backward jumps, spins or flips from the edge of the pool.  No standing or kneeling on kickboards.  Hanging on lane lines/dividers is not allowed.

  • The pool will be cleared for 30 minutes at the first sound of thunder or the first sight of lightning. The pool will reopen if there has been no thunder or lightning for 30 consecutive minutes.

  • Floating toys, rafts, rings, board, and inner tubes may be used if not detrimental to safety but may be prohibited at times at the discretion of the lifeguards. Balls are not permitted in the pool area. 

  • Non-swimmers or weak swimmers (in the lifeguard’s evaluation) must stay at the shallow end of the pool.  The lifeguards may use a swim test to determine a swimmer's abilities.

​Supervision Required

  • Lifeguards are not a replacement for close, active supervision of a child by their guardian.  Parents, whether or not they are at the pool, are responsible for the safety and behavior of their children.

  • The toddler wading pool is for children ages 6 and under.  Each child must be accompanied by a responsible party over the age of 13. 

  • The lifeguard staff and management are not responsible for any loss of or theft of personal belongings. 

 

Pool Standards of Conduct 

  • All tobacco products, marijuana products, and vapor cigarettes are prohibited within the pool fence perimeter.  

  • Foul or abusive language is prohibited at all times and may result in expulsion from the pool area at the discretion of the head lifeguard or management. 

  • Radios must be played at a volume and of content not offensive to others.  The lifeguards will determine acceptable volume levels. 

  • Bicycles, skateboards, blades, scooters, roller blades, heelies etc. are not permitted in the pool area.

  • Pets (service animals excepted) are not permitted inside the pool fence or within a 10’ buffer around the pool fence.  Pets may not be tethered to the fence or in any area around the recreational property. 

  • Residents shall be responsible for damage to pool property caused by their family and/or guests.

 

Guest Policy and Pool Parties

  • Residents may bring guests to the pool.  Guests are limited to 5 per household, per day.   All guests must be accompanied by the resident at all times.

  • Because the pool is primarily for the use of the conservatory residents, pool parties are restricted to the hours between 5 PM and 9 PM.  No pool parties are allowed on holidays or holiday weekends.  Pool parties are limited to 50 guests

    Residents will be responsible for charges associated with the need for additional lifeguards.  Please be advised that one lifeguard is required per every 25 attendees, regardless of whether or not they are planning to swim.

Violation of pool rules could result in the offender being asked to leave the pool area for the rest of the day.  Pool privileges may be suspended for up to 48 hours by the lifeguards for infractions of pool rules and for longer periods by the pool manager, property manager, or Board of Directors.

 

ADDITIONAL RULES MAY BE IMPLEMENTED WITHOUT PRIOR NOTICE AT THE DISCRETION OF THE CONSERVATORY HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION.  SUCH RULES WILL BE POSTED WITHIN

A REASONABLE TIME FRAME UPON ADOPTION.
