Community Insurance Reviewed
At the May 13th monthly board meeting of the Conservatory HOA Board of Directors, Tressa Bishop, the associations’ insurance broker, answered questions about our upcoming policy renewal. Bill Fisher, our Treasurer and I shared information from a recent webinar we attended on insurance as part of continuing education offered to HOA board members through CAI, Community Association Institute.
A decision was made to require all clubhouse events and rentals where alcohol will be included to purchase a one-day Special Event Insurance Policy to protect the HOA against liability. The coverage cost should be minimal. More details will follow when the clubhouse opens for larger events and rentals again.
Social Committee adds a New Event
A First Friday’s gathering to be planned.
Bringing neighbors together and making new friends is the goal of the new group. It will be held on Fridays in the early evening with varied themes. The committee saw a need to offer an opportunity for working residents to network and connect like the Tuesday morning Koffee Klatch. The HOA is making efforts to be inclusive and reach all resident groups with its activities.
More information to follow. If you are interested in helping, please use the Contact Us link on our website and your name will be forwarded to the event organizers, Katie, and James Lawrence.
Responsible Reopening
Board changes to in-person meetings in June
Now that all the HOA Board Members and the Community Manager have received their vaccinations, and local restrictions are easing, we will be holding meetings in person at the clubhouse. Until all COVID restrictions are eliminated, we may still need to limit the number of residents in attendance, but a virtual platform will still be offered.
Since this topic changes daily, please watch for e-blasts and the Conservatory Website for up to the minute developments.
